LEBANON: Turntables in the Camps

Turning Tables Founder Martin Jakobsen talks on the goals and results of bringing DJing and music making workshops to boys and girls in the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan. "In the end of the day... they are really happy that we come." This video was filmed and directed by the Danish film maker Simon Weyhe in the permanent refugee camps of Shabra/Shateela, Nahr el Bared and Jabal al Hussein in September 2010. The music is provided by the Danish DJ collektive Den Sorte Skole and Tue Track. Learn more about Turning Tables work around the world here and read an interview with the founder here.
